Aaron refrained from disclosing the extent of his intimacy with Daniela Ortiz Rivera at Casa Amor until the season 6 reunion.
Kaylor Martin adhered to her commitment and maintained her business relationship with Aaron Evans during the Love Island USA reunion on Monday, August 19.
Last week, the sixth season of Love Island USA’s ensemble convened to discuss their experiences on the show, commencing with the four couples who advanced to the finale. Serena Page and Kordell Beckham, the winners, and JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez, the runner-ups, announced that they were now officially dating.
Nicole Jacky and Kendall Washington, who placed fourth, also stated that they were “still together” but were in the process of overcoming several obstacles.
However, presenter Ariana Madix delayed disclosing the relationship status of Kaylor and Aaron until later in the episode, as their relationship was evidently strained.
Aaron spoke first and immediately shocked Kaylor with one last revelation about his time at Casa Amor with Daniela Ortiz Rivera.
“I lied to Kaylor, straight-up,” he began. “I didn’t tell her the whole truth. I put my hands down Daniela’s pants. I kissed her, I snogged her. We had loads of romantic connections.”
“What?!” Kaylor interjected before going off on her former beau. “Why didn’t you tell me this two days ago when I was asking you in our hotel room? Why? Be honest with me and look me in the eye when you say that then.”
She continued: “I’m tired of the f—ing excuses. Take accountability and be a man. I just saw you the last three f—ing days in New York and you haven’t said that to me once. Why would you do that? Why do you keep f—ing lying to me? And quit love-bombing me!”
As she went on, she channeled Taylor Swift’s song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” (“I just want to know if rusting my sparkling summer was the goal”) when she said, “Literally, I cannot believe I wasted my entire f—ing summer on you, Aaron.”
“I don’t want anything to do with you,” Kaylor concluded. “I never want to speak to you again. You’re disgusting. And I do not deserve that. And you know, what? I walked into the villa being so confident, and you beat me down, beat me down, beat me down and I left a different girl. It’s not cool and it’s not fun. Leave me alone. You do not deserve me. At all. You’re disgusting.”
Kaylor disclosed that she and Aaron had parted ways mere days prior to the reunion’s recording. She stated in a TikTok video that the coupling was “done.”
“Aaron and I are not okay,” she added.
During an appearance at 92NY in New York City on Aug. 16, she expressed her readiness to move on from the frenzied romance two days later.
“Listen, I’m very lucky. I’m 22 years old, I’m going to go through heartbreak, falling in love — all of it,” she told host and influencer Remi Bader. “I know we all have maybe been there once or twice, and I’m glad I have been through it and I’m learning from this situation. And I’m single!”
JaNa Craig, Kaylor’s castmate, commended her for her resilience during the reunion drama during the same panel.
“At the reunion, one of my top three things was Kaylor standing on business,” JaNa told the crowd.
“Guys, you would be very proud,” Kaylor chimed in. “I didn’t shed a f—ing tear.”
Aaron had a romance with competitor Daniela Ortiz Rivera during Casa Amor, despite being with Kaylor for most of the season. Kaylor told BFFs podcast on July 31 that she wanted to “take things really slow” after witnessing the scenes for the first time.
“I don’t wanna end things, because I know what Aaron and I had was true and real, but I feel like I just gave him chance after chance,” she said. “And it wasn’t even all of the Casa [Amor] thing, it was just more so him not taking accountability like Kordell [Beckham] did, which really hurt.”
She continued, “I don’t wanna give up on us, but I definitely have my doubts and I was telling Aaron the other day, I have trust issues now and I don’t wanna be that toxic person in this relationship.”
“I’m realizing my f—ing worth,” she shared. “Because when you’re in the villa you’re in a little bubble. It’s not normal. It was very hard for me being in there. And I did fall in love and what you guys saw was very genuine.”
