Jungle Cruise Release Date, Cast, Plot, Trailer And How Is The Production Going On?
About Jungle Cruise
Well, Jungle Cruise, has Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Emily Blunt among the other star cast.
It is a movie by the Spanish director and producer Jaume Collet-Serra.
Before you even ask, yes, he is the same man who has directed Black Adam starring the same protagonist, Dwayne Johnson.
An action-comedy, Jungle Cruise undeniably gives you a “Jumanji” feel. It indeed is like that in a few parts.
Initially set to release in October 2020, the movie has now been postponed to mid-2021 and you obviously know why. *sigh*
What To Expect
Dwayne Johnson aka Frank is a riverboat captain and Emily Blunt aka Lily is a scientist who is looking out for a tree with supernatural remedies.
The other cast members include Andy Nyman as Sir James Hobb;
Sulem Calderon as Quila;
Jack Whitehall(Lily’s brother) as McGregor Houghton;
Simone Lockhart as Anna and
Raphael Alejandro as Zaqueu among others.
The movie is based on Disneyland’s theme park.
The riverboat takes a few passengers out on a ride and they all have to face dares as they dodge and fight with animals on the way but with a twisted mysticism in it.

What About The Production
Of course with the pandemic having entered into our lives as calmly as a tornado, the perpetual release of the movie is paused, like every other one.
I mean, working on production, background, sound effects and everything associated with a movie or a TV series is dangerous now.
Because it requires plenty of people working in a particular location which cannot be risked at all at this time.
During an Instagram live video, Dwayne answered a few fan queries which included curiosities about his upcoming movies.
With a complacent mind, he satiated fans with details about Black Adam and Jungle Cruise.
The trailer of the upcoming movie has been a massive success and fans of the cast have hit a perpetual state of disbelief and denial.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had confirmed the release date to be the 24th of July, 2020, but because of the ever-so-dangerous pandemic, that’s quite far from possible.
