James McAvoy Makes A Huge Donation To NHS Workers
The X-Men star James McAvoy donates £275,000 to crowdfunding to raise money for helping the NHS workers treating coronavirus patients to buy required and critical medical instruments.
During a tough time like this, McAvoy stepping in and helping the citizens of the UK is genuinely commendable. After all, coronavirus worries all of us, and we should fight back together.
National Health Service (NHS) medics launched a campaign requesting financial support to buy protective types of equipment like mask, visors and gloves for those treating the affected people. The shortage of which will affect the treatment and hence the outbreak. They felt they are “going to war without armour and protection”.

About The Donation
The Scottish star came in support of the campaign and said, “situation is truly urgent and time is of the essence”. The UK campaign has raised more than £850,000.
Dr Salaj Masand, a medic behind the campaign is overwhelmed and grateful for all the donations that came in. He said, “we are overwhelmed and speechless at the trust and faith people have put into us to deliver this. The number of very generous donations from everyone doubled our target within three days.”
McAvoy’s donation makes a huge difference, and 75,000 masks and 75,000 visors can be purchased immediately without waiting for any money.
“This is a global catastrophic event and an adamant time for governments across the world, no different from ours. There is a worldwide shortage of PPE [that’s] likely to go on for months,” he said. “The government is doing all it can, but the NHS needs all the help it can get. We are also competing with the commercial market who are trying to sell the same PPE for extraordinary prices”.
We are sure his generous gesture will make a massive difference for the people and the doctors who are spending days and nights trying to treat the people. In such a traumatic situation, people need to calm down and not panic. The citizens should strictly obey the instructions given by the government. With all of that, we’ll be able to see the world living a healthy life once again.
