About the album, which is due out on August 23, the singer teased a surprise that would happen at the end of the week on social media. “This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” the singer wrote.
Because she is a vocalist, Sabrina Carpenter had to work late many nights, but it has paid off because her upcoming studio album, Short n’ Sweet, is scheduled for release on August 23.
Carpenter shared on social media, “This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” in addition to revealing the album’s title, cover image, and release date. Blonde hair cascades down her back in the front cover art, and sunshine catches a point on her shoulder slightly above a brilliant red lipstick kiss mark. Her hair is slightly parted on the rear cover to display a Short n’ Sweet tattoo on her other shoulder. “On Thursday night, I have a surprise in store for you,” she continued. “So, be vigilant!”

Short n’ Sweet isn’t trying to surpass the success of “Espresso,” its bright lead song, which has been dominating pop since mid-April, with its late summer release date. At No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, Carpenter’s record became his highest-charting release and was already certified platinum.
A slow burn also doesn’t bother the singer. Emails I Can’t Send, her fifth and most recent album, was released in July 2022 after a number of tracks including “Skinny Dippy,” “Fast Times,” and “Vicious” were released.

More than six months later, the love-soaked pop song “Nonsense,” the album’s fourth single, became a huge hit, at least partly because of the outrageous outro scenes she improvises when performing it live. “Feather,” another song from the Emails I Can’t Send Fwd album, was included in the deluxe edition.
With renditions of “Espresso” and a medley of “Feather” and “Nonsense,” Carpenter made her Saturday Night Live debut last month. The song’s outro, which read, was “He is 30 Rock hard ’cause I said hi/My sense of humor is, but I am not dry/SNL I just came for the first time.” She keeps it brief and sweet as always.
