In the Detroit neighbourhood of Southfield, Michigan, Blair was born on June 23, 1972. She is the youngest of Judge Molly Ann (née Cooke) and Elliot I. Beitner’s four daughters. Until his passing in 2012 at the age of 82, her father was an attorney, a proponent of the US Democratic Party, and a labour arbitrator. Is Selma Blair Lesbian?

Selma Blair is neither lesbian, nor is she against homos*xuality or anything similar. Her unintentional remark that “Lesbians are in love with me” sparked the rumours was the cause. She claimed that several of her lesbian friends had crushes on her and that she usually learns about them after their friendship has grown. She is frequently shocked when it happens.

She claims that despite having portrayed a lesbian and kissed girls in the past for movies, the idea of doing so in real life never really occurred to her. She also claims that despite being straight, she accepts that persons of the same gender as her exist.
