A Glimpse of Her Early Years of Life
The parents of Megan Denise Fox, Gloria Darlene (née Cisson) and Franklin Thomas Fox, welcomed her into the world on May 16, 1986 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She spent her early youth in nearby Rockwood. Fox’s father, a parole officer, and her mother divorced when Fox was three years old.
Fox and her sister were reared by her mother and her stepfather, Tony Tonachio, after her mother later remarried. Although she was “very strictly Pentecostal” raised, she eventually spent 12 years at Catholic school. She claimed that the two were “extremely strict,” forbidding her from having a boyfriend or hosting guests at her home. Up until she had enough money to sustain herself, she resided with her mother.
At age five, Fox started acting and dancing lessons in Kingston, Tennessee. She participated in the chorus at Kingston Elementary School, the Kingston Clippers swim team, and a dancing class at the local community centre. Fox continued her training at age 10, travelling to St. Petersburg, Florida.

After winning multiple prizes at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina, Fox started modelling when she was 13 years old. Prior to her junior year, Fox attended Morningside Academy in Port St. Lucie for her high school education. After that, she transferred to St. Lucie West Centennial High School. She took a correspondence test to drop out of school when she was 17 in order to relocate to Los Angeles, California.
In her open discussion about her experience in school, Fox said that she was bullied in middle school and had to eat her lunch in the restroom to escape being “pelted with ketchup packets.” She claimed that her physical appearance wasn’t the issue but rather the fact that she “always got along better with boys” and “rubbed certain people the wrong way.”
Fox added that she never had any friends in high school and that,
“everyone hated me, and I was a total outcast, my friends were always guys, I have a very aggressive personality, and girls didn’t like me for that. I’ve had only one great girlfriend my whole life.”
She notes in the same interview how she detested school and has struggled with “The education I was receiving “seemed unimportant,” and I had never been a great believer in formal schooling. In that regard, I was sort of checked out.”

The Personal Life of Megan Fox
A ring of thieves known as the “Bling Ring” targeted Fox in 2009 and looted her ex-boyfriend Brian Austin Green‘s house in exchange for access to Fox’s belongings.
Fox, who has clubbed thumb, a type of brachydactyly, has spoken about her obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insecurities, and self-harming. She has also recognized that she has low self-esteem. She stated in 2013 that she still places a high value on her Christian faith and that she thinks it keeps her grounded.
Fox supported Generosity Water and helped fund the construction of over 10 water wells for the charity with her then-husband Green.
Megan Fox Claims To Be Bis*xual
Regarding relationships and her s*xuality, Fox claimed that she has a general mistrust and dislike of men and that the stereotype of her as a “wild and crazy s*xpot” is untrue because she is asocial and has only had s*x with her “childhood sweetheart” and Brian Austin Green; she also emphasized that she cannot have s*x with someone she does not love.
She identified as bis*xual and stated that she thinks “all humans are born with the possibility to be attracted to both s*xes.”
In 2009, she said:
“I have no question in my mind about being bis*xual. But I’m also a hypocrite: I would never date a girl who was bis*xual, because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man.
As of July 2021, Fox stated to InStyle:
“A girl would come up to me and be like: ‘You had a lot to do with me, like identifying and understanding that I was gay or understanding that I was bis*xual…’ And that, of course, is by far, like, the most moving, rewarding thing that I have experienced in my life! To be a part of something that helped people figure that out, or helped people deal with that, or feel better about that. One of my favorite things that I get called, is being like, a bi icon and that is one of the things I am the most proud of!”
About Megan Fox’s Relationships
After meeting on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004, Fox started dating actor Brian Austin Green; she was 18 and he was 30. Fox claims that because of their age gap, Green was originally hesitant to date her. She says:
“I had to convince him that I was slightly more responsible and well-spoken and had other things to bring to the table besides being 18.”
In November 2006, they exchanged vows. They broke up their engagement in February 2009, but on June 1, 2010, it was announced that they had become engaged once more. Fox maintained that since 2006, she and Green had been engaged.
