Amazon has announced Season 2 of “Invincible,” an adult superhero series that begins wholesomely and rapidly becomes quite dramatic. This adult animated show is based on a comic image series of the same name. It is created by “The Walking Dead” author Robert Kirkman and illustrator Cory Walker. Invincible: Season 2 will be a must watch!

Although the original narrative has been altered for the small screen, season 1 of “Invincible” was released on Amazon Prime Video on March 25, 2021.

“Invincible” has been a massive success for Amazon, receiving both critical acclaim and a large audience. These extensions demonstrate Amazon’s faith in the show and its producers to continue crafting a compelling storyline in the future.

The “Invincible” follows Mark Grayson, a 17-year-old boy who transforms into a superhero under the supervision of his father, Omni-Man. “Invincible” Season 2 and 3 have been renewed by Amazon a month after the release of the debut season on April 29, 2021.

The comic is renowned for mixing heightened and funny superhero themes with adult drama and ultraviolence, and the series “Invincible” attempted to achieve the same balance and became successful.

Trailer of Invincible: Season 2

We’re far too early for an official trailer of the animated series “Invincible: Season 2” trailer, so don’t take anyone’s word for it. The second season has only recently been announced. There is no trailer at this time. Filming on a second season has not yet begun. Viewers may not see a teaser until early next year.

We’d anticipate one in late 2021, as additional work is completed on the series. This post will be updated as soon as the first footage is released.

Plot of Invincible: Season 2

While there is no way to know where “Invincible” will go in a second season, it is possible to predict based on the source material. Kirkman has also hinted that the montage at the end of Season 1 was intended to remind the audience that everything that occurred was meaningful.

As an outcome, any of these narrative ideas might make an appearance in Season 2. “Invincible” concluded with a confrontation between Mark and his father Omni-Man, and season 2 may center on Mark assuming the role of Earth’s primary defender.

Season 2’s primary narrative themes will feature the Sequids’ attempt to take over Earth, Titan expanding his crime organization, Allen’s travels in space, and Mark’s disagreements with Cecil’s tactics for safeguarding the Earth, if “Invincible” follows the comics’ path. The Sequids will most certainly take center stage, especially since season one concluded with them attacking Mars.

There’s also the subplot of Omni-Man returning to space and maybe rejoining the Viltrumites. After all, they still have a planet to conquer, and Omni-Man abandoning his mission would undoubtedly have consequences.

Kirkman has also hinted at the appearance of Angstrom Levy, a comic book villain who can travel to different universes and blames Invincible for what happened to him.

There are certainly a plethora of storylines remaining for “Invincible: Season 2” to cover, and season 1 built up numerous of them enough for the following season to begin paying them off.

Read Robert Kirkman‘s “Invincible” comic books, which inspired the series, if you want a better insight into where this tale will go next.

Cool Characters from the comics of Kirkman!

There have been no casting confirmations for “Invincible: Season 2,” but we anticipate the main characters from season 1 to return, which include:

  • Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson / Invincible
  • J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man
  • Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson / Mark’s mother
  • Gillian Jacobs as Samantha Eve Wilkins / Atom Eve
  • Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell
  • Khary Payton as Markus Grimshaw / Black Samson
  • Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett

It’s conceivable that we’ll see many more voice performers repeat their parts in addition to the ones listed above.

We don’t know if Zachary Quinto’s vocal talent is required to repeat his part in season 2 or not. Though Robot plays a vital role in the comics, we’re not sure if those events will be included in Seasons 2, 3, or beyond.

In terms of new cast members, Kirkman stated that he would want to see more “The Walking Dead” TV series cast members return in future seasons of “Invincible.”

Invincible: Season 2 along with its cool characters will be here soon!

While “Invincible” has been renewed, there are no indications of when season 2 will be released. Season 2 of “Invincible” is expected to hit the TV industry in the first half of 2022, but it could arrive even later, given how long animation may develop. It would be surprising if it appeared earlier.

Kirkman said his crew had begun pre-production on the second season before Amazon granted the formal green light, allowing them to hit the ground running as soon as “Invincible: Season 2” renewal was announced.

Kirkman and his crew worked on season 1 for several years, but the turnaround time for the next two seasons will likely be quicker.

Conclusion

Season two of “Invincible” is coming to Amazon Prime Video, and fans of “The Walking Dead” actors have fallen in love with the superhero series. They’ll be ecstatic to learn that the show has been renewed for not one but two seasons.

This series gained huge success and much appreciation from the fans by giving it 98% approval on Rotten Tomatoes for the first season. Hopefully, its sequels too would get the same fame and popularity and would meet the fans’ expectations.

If you haven’t seen it yet, “Invincible: Season 1” is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Do binge on this mind-blowing anime series. If you are a superhero fan, you would love it.
