how to acquire the Bluesky invite code? All About the Bluesky Invite Code!

Twitter comes up with new features; it’s time you explore them!

Life is all about an alternative; be it a career path or an app, it’s good to have option B ready for the what-if situations in life. The tech world which offers so many apps of different functions, at times, hardly offers alternatives for certain apps. So, when there’s some issue with the one offered, we don’t have any other platform to use.

Nonetheless, very recently, there emerged a decentralized alternative to Twitter provided by the new social platform “Bluesky Social”. But sadly, it has arrived only on the Apple App Store, as a private beta, the access of which is currently invite-only.  And the most efficient way for new users to sign up is through an invitation process using a code. So, how will you obtain your Bluesky invite code then?

Before we delve into that, it's important that you’re aware of this new social platform. So, let’s learn about it a bit!

What is Bluesky social app?

The man behind the network is Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, whom some have described as “a slightly restrained volcano.”

Originally funded by Twitter, Bluesky Social is a decentralized alternative to the existing platform of Twitter with the slogan- Find your scene, post what's new, and stay connected. But when Twitter is still existing, how did this platform come to being?

Within three months of the announcement of Dorcey’s stepping down as Twitter CEO in 2021, Bluesky PBLLC (Public Benefit LLC) was declared to be “an independent organization” with the stated mission “to develop and drive large-scale adoption of technologies for open and decentralized public conversation.” Powered by what Bluesky calls the “AT Protocol”, Company representatives describe it as a new federated social network that offers a variety of services, “a way for servers to communicate with each other — like email. Instead of one site running the network, you can have many sites. It means you get a choice of provider, and individuals and businesses can self-host if they want.”

Posts from users can be up to 256 characters long and include images. There are alternatives to liking, responding, reposting, and documenting a post. Together with the standard features of a profile photo, bio, followers, and following, there is a Notifications tab. The app does not include a direct messaging option.

The app currently has a rating of five stars, based on only five reviews. The profile interface appears to be quite similar to Twitter, allowing users to follow and be followed, repost, and upload images, according to samples provided on the app's website. The new social media platform is unique since it can no longer be controlled by a single person, group, or company. Everyone can contribute to its improvement thanks to the open-source philosophy.

What makes the AT Protocol special? Algorithmic selection, interoperability, and account portability, which enables consumers to switch providers without losing data, are some of the company's special characteristics.

So, how to acquire the Bluesky invite code?

As you well know, you needed an invitation to join Bluesky. Follow the instructions below to receive an invite code:

  1. Directly log on to blueskyweb.Org
  2. ‘Sign up for the Bluesky private beta’ is to be selected at the lowest of the screen.
  3. Your email-id is to be entered.

After that, the invitation code may be delivered to your email address. But, there's a good chance that you'll be added to a waitlist before receiving the code. Bluesky reported that they had 30,000 sign-up requests in only a few days in October of last year. The speed at which the wait list is erased and the users receive the code is no longer known to the developers.

Although the app itself wasn't yet made accessible to the general public, Bluesky's plans to launch a beta were initially disclosed in October. It refuses to discuss or respond to more inquiries on the project, application, or beta, stating that it is currently focused on fixing faults and is not doing press.

The platform tweeted: “Wow. 30k signups for our app’s waiting listing in the last two days! Thanks for the overwhelming hobby, we’ll do our high-quality to get you in soon.”
