For the lazy ones out there, wouldn’t life have been absolutely great if everything had been automatic? Automatic cars are already in; maybe there could’ve been an invisible hand doing all the cooking, the daily chores and basically everything! And maybe an invisible hand to do all the mindless scrolling on Instagram and TikTok; afterall the fingers get numb!

An endless list of demands, you see. However, the good news is- a part of your wishes has been answered as everyone’s favourite TikTok has come up with the new auto scroll feature. The eyes of the staunch users of TikTok are already gleaming with exhilaration. Without further ado, let’s dive into the ways one can auto-scroll on TikTok.

The new auto-scroll feature

Some TikTok users first saw a new auto scroll option on their videos at the beginning of February and immediately took to Twitter to complain about it. Now, “Auto scroll” is listed next to the “Save video,” “Clear mode,” and “Report” tabs. When used, the For You Page automatically scrolls across videos. You may now watch TikTok without swiping for the first time ever, allowing you to multitask with your hands free.

The auto scroll hasn’t been addressed by TikTok yet, but it appears that the app is testing it as a new feature. The Chinese platform surreptitiously tests the popularity of new concepts by releasing them to a small group of accounts. Keep a lookout for when the new feature, if it is well received, is generally handed out to all accounts in the upcoming months.

So, if you’re wondering how to avail this new feature, this post is for you.
