Religion and horror have frequently gone hand in hand throughout history. Because after all, there’s something about the thought of eternal damnation that lends itself particularly well to macabre tales of horror. This theme has been explored in films such as “The Omen,” “The Exorcist,” and “The Witch,” and now the newest Netflix series has jumped on board in spectacular manner.
Based on the webcomic of the same name, “Hellbound” takes place in a world where a small group of people have haunting visions that predict their deaths down to the hour. When the time comes, three demons appear and kill the person, dragging their soul down to Hell with them in the process. Incredibly graphic, it doesn’t let up for even a second during the entire programme. As it happens, the very first scene of the first episode demonstrates exactly how the formula outlined above works, with horrifying repercussions.
Netflix has not yet said whether or not the programme will be renewed for a second season, but the first season finished in a way that clearly leaves the door open for further stories set in this universe to be developed. Here’s what we’d expect to happen if it does become a reality.
Hellbound Season 2 Premiere Date
There is currently no information on when we will see further episodes of The Walking Dead Season 2 due to the lack of an official confirmation. However, if Netflix decides to pick up the show in the near future, it would make the most sense for the second season to premiere approximately one year after the first.
Hellbound Season 1 launched on Netflix on November 19, 2021, with the second season to follow on November 19, 2022. With only six episodes in that season, it would make sense for a follow-up season to follow a similar plot line to the first. It’s not difficult to imagine “Hellbound” Season 2 premiering in late 2022, most likely in November or December of the same year as the first.
Hellbound Season 2 Cast
Hellbound’s” array of characters is comprised of individuals from various backgrounds and experiences. Although some people succumb to fanaticism when it comes to the enigmatic, otherworldly beings, others work to reduce the power of the cult organisation.
The cast of “Hellbound” is diverse, and a second season would almost certainly include actors such as Jin Kyeong-hoon (Yang Ik-june), Bae Young-jae (Park Jeong-min), Song Sohyun (Won Jin-ah), Min Hye-jin (Kim Hyun-joo), and Jeong Jin-soo (Jin Kyeong-hoon) (Yoo Ah-in). It goes without saying that the demons must have plenty of fresh blood to satisfy their ravenous appetites, so expect to see a lot of new faces in “Hellbound” Season 2, too.
Hellbound Season 2 Story
Despite the fact that there are no hints of what the second season may involve, the Season 1 conclusion does provide us with a good sense of the route the horror series may take in the future. In the final seconds of the season, the camera zooms in on the charred remnants of Park Jeong-house. ja’s (Kim Shin-rok). She died earlier in the season, and the New Truth Society broadcasted her death in order to scare the rest of the world into supporting their cause. Despite the fact that she appeared to be dead and buried, she has been reanimated.
Because it hints that death at the hands of the monsters may not be as permanent as previously imagined, it is a fascinating wrinkle to the story. The possibility that humans can be brought back to life could provide mankind with the optimism it requires to confront these horrible tragedies, and this would be a significant step forward.
For the most part, the first season concentrated on humanity’s reaction to the new threat. Is it possible that we’ll learn more about the beings themselves, as well as why they abruptly decided to end human civilization? Perhaps Netflix will renew the show in the near future, allowing us to explore what more this universe has in store for us.
