The Golden Globes are back, kicking off the 2023 award season in Hollywood. The Golden Globes are a celebration of film and TV from the past year, and of course, there is always a lot of attention on the gorgeous outfits the nominees and people on the red carpet are wearing.
The last couple of years has been quiet for the behemoth night in entertainment.
After the pandemic and a boycott by the industry as a whole, there was no broadcast, no audience, no host, and no red carpet in 2022. This year, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which puts on the awards show, is trying to save face by going back to regularly scheduled programming and making a number of changes to address concerns about diversity and back-channeling.
But on a grey afternoon in Los Angeles, stars showed off their fancy gowns, suits, and hybrid outfits on an even grayer carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the number of guests was noticeably higher. Ana de Armas (Blonde), Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything, Everywhere, All at Once), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Margot Robbie (Babylon), and Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building) were just some of the celebrities who walked the red carpet.
