Current Status Of GameStop’s Employees

The employees complain that the company is not dealing well with the coronavirus outbreak. Moreover, the company continues to run its store open despite the quarantine suggestions stated by the World Health Organization.

Furthermore, employees have complained to Polygon Company. The employees want Polygon to take action to protect the employees from the coronavirus. Polygon has shut down eight GameStop stores in San Fransico.

The company said that the store will be quarantined if any of its staff is tested positive of COVID-19. Furthermore, proper cleaning will be done in the stores. Also, a new team of staff will be sent to post the scenario to ensure the working of the store continues.

Employees are furious upon this decision. They urged the upper authorities to take appropriate actions. GameStop also planned to proceed ahead with the launch of Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizon. However, Polygon canceled these events.

It promised to provide hand sanitizers and other cleaning materials. However, they still haven’t provided the same to the majority of its stores. The company faces severe criticism from not only its employees but also Polygon.

If the company continues to deal with the coronavirus crisis so badly, it can result in the company shutting its door permanently or face a court hearing.
