Everybody Loves Diamonds Season 2 Plot Updates: What to Expect with it?
The official synopsis says, “The Diamond Center in Antwerp has been robbed. While the robbery came as a shock to the whole country, it has been hell for the management of the Diamond Center itself and the head of the special diamond unit, Albert Mertens. Locked in his cell, Leonardo tries to put the pieces of the puzzle together, wondering which member of his team betrayed him. Maybe his old friend Ghigo, the alarm expert. Or Sandra, the lock-wonder.
Leonardo makes a secret deal with the shady lawyer John Lovegrove, who represents the underworld people; Albert Mertens, the head of the Diamond Police, follows a new lead involving someone inside the Diamond Center. Leonardo’s wife Anna travels to Antwerp to visit her husband in prison but finds herself cornered by Mertens; Judith Dewitt, the director of the Diamond Center, gets tied up in the investigation due to her involvement with Leonardo.
On several occasions, the project gets derailed by Anna, who has discovered that her husband is not only the king of thieves but also that he is having an extramarital affair with the director of the Diamond Center, Judith Dewitt. Mertens receives a tip-off that the heist was orchestrated with the help of the Indian diamond community. Anna had decided to give Leo another chance in exchange for the opportunity to take part in the heist, but now she’s had enough.
Mertens launches a vast police operation on the Indian diamond trading community but discovers it to be a false trail set up by Simon Van De Velde, a famous former thief and police informer.”
