The mother of two inquired about her traveling circumstance, “Is this the new norm?”
Eva Mendes’ obligations as a mother are perpetual.
The actress, who has two daughters, Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 8, with her companion Ryan Gosling, demonstrated how she travels with her daughters and their collection of plush animals. She is 50 years old.
“Sooooo I guess they’re a significant part of my carry on now? Is this the new norm?” Mendes wrote over an image shared to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The selfie showed the mother of two sitting on an airplane holding on to her children’s stuffed animals.
In a second upload, she wrote: “Btw, these are only 3 of the 6 that traveled with us. But at least I talked them down from 12.”
Her caption was followed by a variety of emojis such as a monkey concealing its mouth, a laughing emoji, and startled expressions.
Mendes and Gosling, 43, are rarely photographed together; however, they made a rare public appearance at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris earlier this month. Before proceeding to the women’s uneven bars final at Bercy Stadium, the two observed the dressage individual Grand Prix freestyle at the Chateau de Versailles.
Mom and Dad were accompanied by their daughters for a day of gymnastics.
Despite the fact that Mendes and Ryan Gosling are A-list celebrities, their children are not particularly interested in their fame, as Gosling previously admitted. The parents anticipated that their daughters would appreciate Mendes’ appearance on the popular animated series Bluey.
However, spoke in May, Gosling said, “They don’t care.”
“We both thought it was going to be huge,” he added of Mendes voicing a yoga instructor in a 2021 episode.
“They didn’t like it,” he told, “They were like, ‘Fast-forward through that part!’ ”
In a separate interview in May, Mendes disclosed the extent of Gosling’s encouragement for her over the years.
“I’m not going to tell you that but in all the ways I need to be supported,” she said after briefly discussing why she called him her “Cuban Papi” on Instagram.
“He’s got me in all the ways,” she added.
In 2011, Mendes and Gosling encountered each other during the production of The Place Beyond the Pines, in which they portrayed a couple with an infant son. The Hitch actress withdrew from the public eye to concentrate on her family after greeting her own children.
“It was the easiest decision I’ve ever made,” she told PEOPLE in the May interview. “I was older and I knew that my kids are going to be little once, and whatever I do or don’t do right now is going to affect them the rest of their life.”
