Taylor Swift, the largest pop culture phenomenon of the century, will finally visit Europe on Thursday as part of her Eras Tour, which has already rocked four continents. The tour will begin with a four-night run in Paris.

Swift has shattered practically every musical record to date, and her sixth tour is no different.

Commencing in March 2023, the Eras Tour has already sold over $1 billion in tickets, making it the first of its kind. By the time it ends in Vancouver in December, it is anticipated to have sold almost twice as many.

The first-ever performances of songs from Swift’s new album, “The Tortured Poets Society,” had Parisians extremely thrilled.

The 31-track album has been panned by many critics as being unimpressive and bloated, calling it “a rare misstep” (British music magazine NME).

Her loyal fan base goes red at such profanity — Paste magazine knew all too well how her followers would respond, so they felt compelled to keep their critical review anonymous.

Swift’s album broke all streaming records on its first day of sales, selling 1.4 million copies, and reached a billion plays on Spotify in just five days, so it’s unlikely that a few negative reviews would spell disaster for her this summer.

Swift will be seen by about 42,000 people in Paris before traveling to Sweden, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Austria.

Economic titan

The 34-year-old’s tour continues to be an unstoppable revenue generator for venues and promoters.
