About E3 Summit 2020
The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2020 is the 26th Electronic Entertainment Expo. The event is organized by Entertainment Software Association (ESA) in Los Angeles, United States. The event takes place from June 9th- June 11th, 2020.
In the summit, various hardware manufacturers, software developers, and publishers from the video game industry present new and upcoming products to the crowd, primary retailers and the video game media press attending the event.

Covid-19 Effect on E3 2020 Summit
According to Bloomberg and Ars Technica, Entertainment Software Association(ESA) who hosts the E3 2020 Summit made an official announcement to cancel the summit due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
The association said that the health of its crew, attendees and management is of utmost importance to them and they will not risk it looking at the current scenario of the virus outbreak.
The United States has seen around 1012 cases of Coronavirus and 31 fatalities up to date. According to the ESA Report, around 66,000 people were going to attend the E3 Summit. This figure also included many international visitors.
Los Angeles alone reported 17 positive cases of Coronavirus. With international visitors coming as well, it could create another virus outbreak in the city and abroad. ESA is still monitoring and evaluating the situation daily that whether the three-day event should be taken place or postponed if circumstances allow.
Other events in the United States such as Facebook’s F8 Conference, Game Developers Conference, Mobile World Congress are also other big events that have been called off followed by Coronavirus outbreak.
