Dua Lipa is opening up about an awkward experience she had at the Golden Globes in 2024!
The 28-year-old singer of “Dance the Night,” who was attending the annual film and TV awards presentation for the first time on Sunday, shared a behind-the-scenes video of herself finding it difficult to sit down in her outfit on Tuesday.
In the embarrassing video, Lipa was seated at her table in the Beverly Hilton, where the Globes were being held, and she was leaning back while other guests were chatting away.
The candidate wrote in the caption of her photo, “Thank you @goldenglobes for such a beautiful night last night. The only thing missing was a reclining chair.”

The singer also posted a picture of herself laughing while standing in a sprinter van wearing her revealing costume, as if to make light of the predicament.
Other than that, Lipa looked amazing at Sunday’s 81st Golden Globes. She donned a custom Haute Couture black velvet bustier gown by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli, embellished with embroidered gilded bones in gold and diamond, for the occasion.
Stylist Lorenzo Posocco highlighted on Instagram that Elsa Schiaparelli’s 1938 work with Salvador Dalí served as inspiration for the beautiful design.

Lipa accessorized her red manicures and deep pink lips with a gold-studded wrap necklace from Tiffany & Co. to complete her awards-ready outfit.
Along with Caroline Ailin, Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson, and the popular Barbie soundtrack single “Dance the Night,” she was nominated for a Golden Globe this year for best original song.
The singer of “Houdini” was defeated by Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas O’Connell, who took home the prize for their song “What Was I Made For?” which is also included on the Barbie soundtrack.

During a recent roundtable discussion, Eilish, 22, joined Lipa to talk about their nominated songs. Lipa shared how the disco sound of “Dance the Night” was discovered.
Lipa clarified, “Greta was saying how inspired by disco she was.” “I was just thinking about disco and how it pulls people together and creates a sense of togetherness. When things weren’t going well in the world, this particular kind of music was always a great way to release yourself.
“Therefore, ‘Dance the Night’ was written especially for Barbie’s finest day ever, which leads to her contemplating death.” The singer continued, “So it’s really about those dualities of life and being able to merge the two together.”
