The story is about The Doctor and his adventures along with Clara. It revolves around space and time and alien species gathering around. The show is the BBC longest-running series.
Dr Who Season 13: Release Date
The Dr Who sci-fi drama completed it’s 12th season on 1 March 2020. Since then fans have been wondering when BBC is going to air the thirteenth season.Dr Whohas been impressing the audience since 1963. Hence it is safe to assume that the show will be renewed for another season.
BBC has not officially given the green light for another run, but showrunner Chris Chibnall is already talking about the upcoming season. He said, “it will be next year sometime, hopefully, unless my holiday plans go on for a long time, which is always tempting”.
Chibnall also talked about a holiday special episode that’s going to come up this year or in early 2021. “I don’t know when they’re going to put it on yet. Otherwise, we’d tell you!” he said.
“But rest assured, the Doctor and her friends will be back for a one-off extended Special around Christmas and New Year. There will be Daleks. There will be exterminations—thrills, laughter, tears. You know. The usual. See you at the end of the year.”
Has The Ongoing Pandemic Put The Shootings At Halt?
Since Dr Who season 13 has not been officially announced. Therefore we don’t think that the pandemic has something to do with it. As per the sources shooting may begin in early September.
And might take nine to ten months to complete. Hence ongoing pandemic shouldn’t be an obstacle for this show.
Season 13: Cast Details
Jodie Whittaker has confirmed that she’ll be returning for season 13 as The Doctor. “That could be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say”, she said. “But it’s unhelpful for me to say because it would be a massive lie!”.
However, we do not whether Mandip Gill will return or not. She said, “I’d love to return. But again, because of the secrecy, no-one knows what’s going on.”
“I’m just happy to have been part of two seasons and to have been able to explore Yaz. But I would love to be part of it next year as well.” Gill added.
According to reports both Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole will be leaving after the Dr Who Holiday Special.

Season 13: What To Expect
The Dr Who season is not yet filmed. The shooting is due during the autumn of 2020. Dr Who season will start filming somewhere around in September. Hence the plot details are very scarce. Chibnall says that the plans for the upcoming season are “bigger” and “ambitious”.
Season 12 did have relatively a dramatic end to it with the Doctor ending up in prison. The next season will probably show us how she reunites with her TARDIS fam.
Another revelation that came along was about ‘The Timeless Children’s. The Doctor was, in fact, from another dimension adding more and more mystery towards her character. She releases that her entire history is a lie. So we can expect her to investigate and find out her real past and rediscover her people.
