Doom Eternal: Doom Teases New Campaign DLC With Two Epic Screenshots

Doom Eternal isn’t quite done letting players rip and tear through the entirety of hell just yet. The game’s official Twitter account gave players a little taste of what’s to come in the future. In classic Doom fashion, it looks epic, ominous and weirdly futuristic.

Doom Eternal Teases New DLC

The Twitter account also comes with a caption that reads, “sneak peak screenshots from our first upcoming campaign DLC.” Developer iD Software had already announced that the game would get some campaign DLC.

This caption also suggests that this is just the tip of the shotgun barrel when it comes to DLC. Both of these screenshots show off some sort of enemy base. The first one has a purple sky, the second one has a green sky. However, both of them have lightning crackling in the background. Wouldn’t feel like Doom without that, would it?

Doom Eternal DLC Might Take Us To Some Exciting Locations

According to GamesRadar+, the purple sky area might be on Urdak, the home planet of the Makyr race. The second area looks like some sort of oil rig in the middle of the ocean. We also have one little hint as to what this DLC could be about.

The description in Doom Eternal’s Year One Pass is our best hint at what players could expect from it. It reads as follows:

“Your victory over Hell’s armies pulled humanity back from the edge of extinction, but it came at a cost. An imbalance of power in the heavens requires the true ruler of this universe to rise and set things right. Wage war across never-before-seen realms of the DOOM Universe, fight against new demons, and wield new abilities in your never-ending battle against the forces of evil.”

No word on a release date for this DLC yet. However, now is as good a time as any to get into the base game. Doom Eternal is available to play on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, PC and Nintendo Switch.
