Caribbean island of Saint Marie is a fictional location. DI Richard Poole, along with his police team, reaches the island. They have to solve an impossible murder in the Caribbean Island.
Death In Paradise Season 10 Release Date
The show completed its ninth season on 27 February 2020. Initially, the famous detective drama aired on television since 2011, and we want more of it. The show has planned for the tenth season, and it will happen.
BBC Drama Commissioning Editor Tommy Bulfin confirmed the news. “We are delighted to announce that Death in Paradise is coming back to BBC1. The show is a jewel in our roster of top drama, and we are thrilled that it’s returning”. The show will release in January 2021.

Death In Paradise Season 10 Shooting Cancelled Due To Coronavirus
The tenth season of BBC series Death In Paradise was all set to start filming in Guadeloupe in April 2020. But unfortunately, the creators are forced to postpone the shoot due to the global pandemic. The decision came in after analysing the safety and health of all the cast and crew members. The filming was about to take place in Guadeloupe this April.
Guadeloupe is also suffering from coronavirus. Recently a few deaths also took place, and Guadeloupe has even declared a local emergency. Hence during this time flying all the cast and the crew members to the island are not safe. To start the shoot is such a health risk. During this global pandemic, social distancing is critical.
The show’s executive producer, Tim Key, made a statement. “In light of the spread of Covid-19, after much consideration, Red Planet Pictures the producers of Death in Paradise has postponed filming. The decision comes in after consultation with and supported by the BBC. We will continue to review all productions on a case-by-case basis. We will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England.”
The lead of the show Ralf Little has not yet made any public statements regarding the series getting postponed.
