Daniel Ricciardo Net Worth: How Much Daniel Ricciardo Has In His Bank? His Car Collection!

The Honey Badger is undeniably one of the more talented drivers currently competing in Formula One. His car collection and his net worth are undoubtedly worth their weight in gold, but for how much longer?

Since Daniel Ricciardo’s performances at the once-championship contending McLaren team have declined since he joined the team from Renault, rumours are becoming increasingly more prevalent regarding his future in Formula One.

The outwardly jovial personality is well-known for his well-known “shoey” podium celebration, his self-coined “Honey Badger” label, and his humorous antics in the paddock. Ricciardo is no stranger to signing lucrative multi-year contracts with top teams in the championship. As a result, it is safe to say that he does not fall on the lower end of the equation on the value table for the current grid.

Ricciardo, now 32 years old, began racing karts in Australia when he was just nine years old. By 2008, his family had already made the courageous choice to relocate him to Europe. Following his victories in the 2008 Formula Renault 2.0 and 2009 British F3 championships, he was given the opportunity to test for an F1 race in a Red Bull at Jerez, where he finished first overall.

As part of an agreement between Red Bull and the HRT team, he made his debut in Formula One at the 2011 British Grand Prix with the HRT team. This agreement was made in conjunction with Red Bull. Upon making his first appearance at a race weekend, the Australian was already a regular test driver for the junior team Scuderia Toro Rosso in addition to being an integral part of the Red Bull junior squad when he first started competing.

After consistently finishing near the bottom of the standings in the backmarker HRT car, the Australian was offered a driving position in the Toro Rosso team for the 2012 season alongside Jean-Eric Vergne.

In 2013, he outqualified Vergne for the majority of the season and outscored the Frenchman by seven points, which led to Red Bull selecting Ricciardo to promote to its main team in place of the retiring Mark Webber.

In 2014, he continued to outqualify Vergne for the majority of the season and outscored the Frenchman by seven points. In the first half of the season, he stunned many people by defeating the reigning four-time champion Vettel. He also won three races in a year that was dominated by Mercedes, and he had the only entirely non-Mercedes victory to his name.

2015 was a difficult year for Red Bull, as they finished third behind Williams and Ferrari. Daniil Kvyat, a Russian, was Ricciardo’s teammate during that season. Max Verstappen took over for Kvyat in the Red Bull after the infamous Russian Grand Prix in 2016, and the Dutch driver immediately laid down the gauntlet by winning his first race in the team’s car.

During the time that Ricciardo and Verstappen spent working together, they developed a strong friendship but also became fierce competitors on the racetrack. Their rivalry came to a head at the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan in 2018, when they collided heavily and were forced to retire as a result.

The fact that Ricciardo was dissatisfied with the way the team handled the incident internally contributed, at least in part, to the unexpected news that he would be moving to Renault for the 2019 season. Together with Nico Hulkenberg, he got off to a shaky start to the season, and he finished the year in ninth place, which was a major letdown. On the other hand, the abbreviated 2020 season was kinder to him, as he finished fifth in the standings and demonstrated superiority over the German who was stationed on the opposite side of the Renault garage.

Ricciardo, however, would be on the move again for 2021, having lost confidence in Renault’s long-term plan. He would replace Carlos Sainz at McLaren, a team that had moved itself to the head of the midfield during Ricciardo’s years at Renault.

Daniel Ricciardo Car Collection

Ricciardo has amassed an extremely enviable car collection, especially considering the fact that he is a formidable race car driver who also has a significant amount of weight behind him.

His private collection is highlighted by the presence of a Porsche 918 Spyder with 875 horsepower and an asking price of $845,000; it is the third member of the so-called “holy trinity” of modern hybrid hypercars produced by Porsche, McLaren, and Ferrari. As if owning a 918 wasn’t enough, he also has a 911 GT3 RS that costs $188,000, which he uses for navigating the tight streets of Monaco, which almost certainly won’t put the car’s purported power output of 513 horsepower to the test. After driving a variety of Renault Sport vehicles during his two years with the F1 team owned by Renault, Daniel Ricciardo decided to add a Renault Megane RS to his collection. The vehicle cost him $35,000.

His love of pick-up trucks is something that may or may not come as a surprise to you. In fact, his very first car was a “slow” Toyota Hilux that he used on the farm that his parents owned. He recently had the urge to reignite his passion for utility vehicles, so he went out and bought a Renault Kadjar for $20,000 and a Ford F-150 Raptor for $70,000, both of which are currently located in the United States.

Things get a little more exotic when you see the pair of Aston Martins that are included in this list: a “cool” $189,000, 2016 V12 Vantage, and, in our opinion, an even cooler 1160-horsepower $3 million Valkyrie is expected to be delivered.

The V12 Vantage costs $189,000. His current position at McLaren has earned him a 720S worth $270,000, a 675LT worth $360,000, and a 765LT worth $280,000; however, it is unknown whether he still possesses all three of these vehicles.

Daniel Ricciardo Net Worth

Ricciardo was one of the highest paid Formula One drivers and therefore one of the highest paid athletes during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. His contract with Renault was worth approximately $35 million per year, making him one of the highest paid athletes. Because of his deal with McLaren, this sum has ostensibly been reduced to somewhere around $15 million.

It should not come as a surprise to learn that his net worth is approximately fifty million dollars for this reason. To put that into perspective, the net worth of his teammate Norris is estimated to be $25 million (not including the wealth of his family), and the net worth of his former teammate and current champion, Verstappen, is approximately $60 million.

The figure of $50 million for the year 2022 appears to be fairly conclusive, despite the fact that a net worth is obviously always an educated estimate.
