President Donald Trump’s Statement

President Donald Trump said that China could either not stop the spread of the virus or let it spread. He said so in the last White House conference. Moreover, he said that the US authority kept a strong eye on Wuhan Institute of Virology.

He believes the virus started to spread from there. Furthermore, he said there are a lot of theories suggesting his statements are authentic. Moreover, a reported asked how can he be so sure, to which he replied by saying that he knows it, but cannot share it with anyone yet.

China’s Response To Trump Statements 

The Wuhan Institute of Virology denies the statement made by Donald Trump. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Geng Shuang said that the origin and spread of the coronavirus is a complex issue. Furthermore, it should be studied by scientists and professionals in the field.

Also, the Chinese government said that the United States should focus on controlling the coronavirus in their country rather than making false statements targeting China. The Intelligence Community will continue to investigate the situation.

Tensions between the United States and China have risen in recent weeks. The Chinese Government says that the US Military brought in the coronavirus in China. Whereas, President Donald Trump is deciding the consequences for China for the coronavirus.
