Cooper Noriega, a TikTok celebrity with 2.3 million followers, was discovered dead in a parking lot on Thursday, according to Us Weekly reports. He was 19.
Just 19 days before, he posed the question to his followers, “Who else is thinking they’re going to die young as?”
The medical examiner records for Los Angeles County did not reveal the cause of death, and the matter is still under investigation. Noriega has discussed his experiences with mental illness and substance abuse with his followers, most recently announcing on TikTok that he has created a Discord channel where individuals may share their tales.
“Come join if you’re truly into expressing your emotions, or whatever,” he urged in a video. “I made [the Discord] because I love you guys so much and because I struggle with it myself. I want you guys to feel secure and not alone.”
He stated, “I’d like to use the authority I’ve been given to build a forum dedicated to raising awareness and normalising the discussion of mental illness. While battling addiction, I’ve learnt among other things that surrounding yourself with negative people will only drag you down. Discord is intended to bring us all together and provide a secure area where individuals can vent and help one another through difficult times.”
His admirers began posting messages of support and regret on his TikTok account. Noriega had tweeted a video with the caption “Who else is thinking they’re too young to die?” In contrast to the majority of his uploads, which featured costumes, lip-syncing, and dance videos, he was in bed.

TMZ.com stated that Noriega was discovered unconscious in a mall parking lot outside of Los Angeles on Thursday. Although paramedics got to the scene, they were unable to save his life, and he was declared dead.
Following his death, Noriega’s friends shared tributes to the young athlete. Page Six stated that fellow TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio, 20, was obviously distraught when she attempted to perform on Friday evening in New York City.
“Yesterday, a friend of mine passed away,” D’Amelio, who has been outspoken about her own mental health difficulties, sobbed to the gathering. She then encouraged the audience members to “check in” with their friends to ensure their well-being.
Sabrina “Sab” Quesada, the ex-girlfriend of Noriega, put a tribute on Instagram in his honour.
“The light of my life, you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Quesada captioned a sequence of photographs and videos of the couple kissing and embracing with the phrase. “i’m very sorry my dear. may we meet again.”
Quesada displayed on a single screen a succession of texts from Noriega, including one in which he instructed her to “b secure and mend. God’s angels are surrounding you. I feel most comfortable approaching you.”
