If you guys have a big family and spend a lot of holiday celebrations between different homes, it can be just nice to stay at home for Christmas day sometimes. Especially when you have younger children who are just discovering the magic of Christmas morning.
One of the most amazing thing you can do on Christmas day at home is that you can do things at your own speed. There is no need to rush off to the next event or being worry about going somewhere on time.
It means that you can enjoy a breakfast together as a family and take your time to open your gifts. Then once everyone is ready for something else, you can choose any of the following Christmas day activities to fill your day gracefully.

Random Act of Kindness –
Christmas day is a great time for sharing some kindness with people who are around you. This period can be difficult for many people who might be missing loved ones who could not be with them or who have passed away or someone doing it tough financially.
As a family you can choose to do a random act of kindness for people you know could use it for some cheer in their life. This can be done as dropping off some fresh cookies to a neighbour or making Christmas cards for your local organizations and community services like charities and the local police station thanking them for their hard work.
Bake Christmas Cookies –
This is another my favourite Christmas day activities which is done by getting everyone involved – especially the kids! Whether you can go for a classic gingerbread cookie or try some new Christmas cookie recipe.
Instead of Christmas cookies you can also whip up a batch of rum balls, one of these candy cane treats or some chocolate peppermint balls.
Sing Christmas Carols –
You can get into Christmas spirit by singing some carols together. You also venture out into the neighbourhood and spread some holiday cheer to your neighbourhood by serenading them with Christmas carols.
Make Christmas craft together –
There are plenty of fun and festive crafts you can make as an entire family on Christmas day. You can make your own Christmas cards or wrapping paper or try your hands at making some Christmas outfits to flaunt.
Craft activities can be as simple as Christmas colouring pages or you make Christmas quilt together or sewing cushions to decorate the house.
