Chris Evans and Alba Baptista Get Married in Cape Cod – With His Co-superhero Costars as Guests!

Chris Evans is now a husband.

A source tells PEOPLE that the 42-year-old actor got married to Alba Baptista on Saturday at a private farm in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Page Six of the New York Post was the first to write about the news.

Some of the couple's famous friends, like Evans' Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey, Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky, and Jeremy Renner, as well as John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, were seen at the wedding in nearby Boston.

On Saturday, photos were taken of Hemsworth, Downey, their wives, and Renner eating and talking at the Contessa restaurant in the five-star Newbury Boston hotel. Krasinski and Blunt were seen coming back from the party just after midnight on Saturday. A source says, “They were very happy, joking, and smiling.”

People asked both Evans and Baptista's representatives for a reaction, but neither answered right away.

In November 2022, PEOPLE revealed that the current Sexiest Man Alive, from Sudbury, Massachusetts, and the 26-year-old Portuguese actress had been dating “for over a year and it's serious”

“They are in love, and Chris has never been happier,” said a source at the time. All of his family and friends love her.

Baptista is known for her roles in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris in 2022 and Warrior Nun on Netflix. She knows five languages and is the daughter of an engineer and a translator.

In 2018, she did a lot of good work at a shelter in Cambodia, where she focused on educating the kids. She also won the Berlin Film Festival's Shooting Star award in 2021.

On Valentine's Day this year, Evans posted a collage of photos of himself and his then-girlfriend to honor the holiday.

The Captain America actor put in pictures of the couple climbing, traveling, kissing, and spending time with his dog Dodger.

Not long before that, Evans put together a movie on his Instagram Story of him and Baptista scaring each other as they did laundry, went through doorways, or just walked by each other over the course of last year.

“A look back at 2022 ❤️❤️❤️,” the actor wrote at the top of the video.

In his Sexiest Man Alive interview from last year, Evans said he felt “very content” with his life and was focused on finding a good work-life mix and spending time with his loved ones.

At the time, the Ghosted actor said, “I definitely want a wife, kids, and to start a family.”

“When you read about most of the best artists, whether they are actors, painters, or writers, most of them admit that what they are most proud of isn't the work they did, but the relationships they built, the families they made, and the love they found and shared,” Evans said.

“So it's also something that rings true to me after 41 years. “Those are the most important things,” he said. “I like the idea of customs and rituals. I had a lot of that, so the idea of making more of it is the best thing I can think of.”
