3 Major Questions Castlevania Season 4 Need to Answer
Netflix premiered Castlevania season 3 exclusively on March 5, 2020.
And right after it received, Netflix anime fans praised for its unique combination of:
- Supernatural horror,
- Sarcastic humor,
- Profound Tragedy,
- And violent action.
There’s nothing more you can ask from the makers.
Castlevania Season 3 was so good that it received 100% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
And now, fans are eager to know when’s the Castlevania season 4 is releasing.
So, with this post, I’ll update you with its release date & the questions, upcoming season needs to answer.
Let’s get started –
Castlevania Season 4 Release Date
Before going ahead, let me update you with its renewal status.
Within the one month of Castlevania season 4 release, Netflix renewed the anime series for the 4th season.
They confirmed this via their twitter. Take a look at this:

That’s great, right?
Now, coming to the most important part –
“When’s the Castlevania season 4 is releasing?”
Well, at the moment I don’t have any official update for you.
However, looking at the past release, I’m confident.
It’ll release in 2021.
I get it, you’re not satisfied with my answer. But that’s how it works.
The 1st season was released on July 7th, 2017,
Then on October 26th, 2018,
& the 3rd season on March 5th, 2020.
Now, calculate yourself.
There’s a 15 months gap between the release of 1st and 2nd seasons.
And 17 months gap between the 2nd & 3rd seasons.
So, it’s obvious for me to expect the Castlevania season 4 by the end of 2021.
Castlevania season 3 Unanswered Questions!
When Castlevania season 3 ended with 10 episodes in March 2020, it left 3 unanswered questions.
These are the questions that need to be answered in Castlevania season 4.
Let’s get straight into it –
Will Dracula be brought back from the dead?
Castlevania season 3 had 10 episodes,
And in almost every episode, Trevor Belmont & Sypha were the center point.
As the series progresses, they uncover a mysterious new cult.
The cult that’s formed from the religious group in Lindenfeld.
However, then came a shocker – In reality, they were under the control of a night creature.
That creature was using them to open a portal to hell & bring back Dracula.
Yeah! The main antagonist from Castlevania season 1 & season 2.
By the end of season 2, he was killed by his son – Alucard.
Btw, Dracula was not the only surprise.
When the door was forced shut, he was holding his wife (Lisa) in his arms.
Although, we never get to see whether that was real Lisa or not.
Or it’s just some memory within his world. Now, comes the raining questions –
“What if that was the real Lisa?“
“If that was the real Lisa, did she discuss his cruel actions?“
How he ruined his relationship with his son.
“What if she was some kind of allusion?“
“Will Dracula take his vengeance after his resurrection to the world?“
Where Next for Alucard in Castlevania Season 4?
Out of all the popular characters, Alucard got the lesser on-screen time in Castlevania season 3.
After killing his father, he’s left alone in the castle with whatever is left of the Belmont state.
As Castlevania season 3 begins, we see Sumi and Taka attacking Alucard.
The held Alucard responsible for killing Dracula & the Vampire Keeper Cho.
Later, he agrees to train fighting vampires. However, things never went easy – the way he expected.
Both the siblings continue to believe that he’s hiding something & in the end, they decide to kill him off.
After finding out their plan, he kills both of them for his survival.
However, this ends up costing his mental health.
And as we come to the closing of Castlevania season 3, we see him making a return back from the forest.
Now, the question is –
“How will Alucard feel in the next season?“
“Will he support the future vampire hunters or will he turn his back to the world?“
“How he’ll react to the resurrection of this father – Dracula?“
The same father who he killed mercilessly by the end of Castlevania season 2.
Will we really see Saint Germain again?
In Castlevania season 3, a new character – Saint Germain was introduced.
Initially, he was introduced as a mysterious time-traveling magician.
As the mystery starts to unravel, we got to know about the portal.
A portal that lies below Lindenfeld & goes to the Infinite Corridor.
And then came the reason.
The reason why there’s an infinite corridor below Lindenfeld.
A loved one was lost there in the past.
So, to bring that person back, he wants to reopen the portal.
However, as I said earlier, the night creature used Trevor Belmont & Sypha to open the portal & bring back Dracula from the dead.
In the Castlevania season 3 finale episode, Saint Germain uses all his power to shift the portal from hell to the place where his love resides.
Somehow he enters into a world that’s complete upside down. However, before joining his love, he turns to Belmont and tells him that he’ll be back soon.
Now, in Castlevania season 4, it’ll be interesting to see whether Spyha & Belmont looked for Saint Germain into the corridor,
Or they’re done with it. Whatever it is. We must find out about that in the upcoming season.
Besides, all I want is a reunion between Saint Germain & his one true love.
I hope we’ll get to see this soon.
I hope we’ll see Castlevania season 4 sometime in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2021.
Unlike other anime shows, I don’t want to see Castlevania season 4 getting postponed because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Once Castlevania season 4 air on Netflix, all I want is the answer to the 3 questions I’ve listed above.
That’s all for now.
I know we’ve almost 1 year to kill before we got to see Castlevania season 4.
So, in the meanwhile, do check out these 7-classic mangas of all-time.
You’ll love reading them.
