If you’re looking for a love song, here is the story for you. Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have been married since 2008 and are still head over heels for one another.
Following a romantic proposal in December 2009, the Canadian hockey player proposed to his longtime girlfriend in July of the following year. The couple had been married for five years when they had their first kid, a son named Isaiah, and they knew they wanted more children.
“Everyone around [Carrie] knows she wants to have a huge family, and they’re always trying for another kid. A strong marriage is something that Carrie and Mike’s friends aspire to.” When it comes to their long-term commitment to each other, they are unwavering.”
Six months later, the “Two Black Cadillacs” singer announced via Instagram that she and Fisher were expecting a second child together. “Yay! The addition of Isaiah, Mike, and I are “over the moon” and “happy,” Underwood wrote at the time. “It’s like a dream come true,” one person said. It was in January of this year that their second child, Jacob, was born.
In addition to the joy of having two sons, however, the former American Idol contestant subsequently admitted that her pregnancy wasn’t always easy. She revealed that she had three miscarriages in two years before the birth of her second kid, which she described as “heartbreaking.”
“I had always been afraid to be angry. Because we are so blessed,” she said on CBS Sunday Morning in September 2018. “I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s OK, because [Isaiah] is amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.”
The “Cry Pretty” singer never had to face motherhood alone; her spouse was by her side the entire time. Underwood thanked Fisher for providing her with a “happily ever after” as they marked their tenth year of marriage.
The previous decade has been “quite wonderful” with Fisher, she wrote on Instagram in July 2020. To countless more… ” I adore you, and I give thanks to God for uniting those two young people!”

In June of last year, the pair went horseback riding in Estes Park, Colorado’s Wind River Ranch. As soon as we go, we’ll be back! An Instagram slideshow of their vacation was posted by Fisher.

While the GRAMMY Awards are still being handed out, Carrie Underwood has already proven herself to be a winner in every way. This past Sunday, the singer walked the red carpet in Las Vegas in honour of the biggest night in music, the Grammy Awards. She was an unmistakable sight in a gold ombré ball gown by Dolce & Gabbana, which had an ornate bodice.
She certainly drew attention at the star-studded dinner, which included her own husband, Mike Fisher, among others.
There was no shortage of picture-perfect moments for the couple as they posed for photographers, with Fisher even laying a kiss on his other half’s cheek at one point during the session. His long-time wife, who was smiling for the photographers in another photograph, was snapped staring across at him in yet another.
In addition to winning the GRAMMY Award for Best Roots Gospel Album for My Savior, Underwood was nominated for the award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Underwood has a lot to be excited about right now. With seven GRAMMY Awards under his belt, including Best New Artist in 2007, the 39-year-old singer is no stranger to the awards show.
And now she’ll be returning home a winner once more — this time with some fresh images to add to the family album as a souvenir.
The 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air live on CBS on Sunday, April 3 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET and will be streamed live and on demand on Paramount+ the following day.
