Book of Boba Fett Season 2 : Will Book of Boba Fett Have a Season 2?

By

A surprising amount of interest has been generated by The Book of Boba Fett, if not quite to the same extent as that generated by The Mandalorian. This has led some fans to wonder whether Temuera Morrison’s first solo project will have a future beyond season one. When episodes five and six were used as a backdoor debut for The Mandalorian season three, the situation became even more confusing, thereby turning this show into Mando 2.5.

Book of Boba Fett Season 2

So, what does this signify for the plot of The Book of Boba Fett, exactly? Is there another chapter in the works, or can we put this book down for good and go on to the other eighty gajillion Star Wars episodes that will be released in the near future? Here’s all you need to know about the second season of The Book of Boba Fett on Disney Plus.

The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 Release Date

Unfortunately, as of March 2022, there is still no assurance that The Book Of Boba Fett would return for a second season, let alone a confirmed release date for the second season. Considering how rapidly the Star Wars universe is evolving, there is just as much of a chance that they will conclude Boba Fett’s solitary adventure as there is that it will continue on to additional chapters.

Given Disney’s larger intentions for Star Wars in general, it is possible that season two will be delayed in order to tie it into something else that is planned for later in the series’ run. The Book Of Boba Fett was discovered to have important connections to the television series The Mandalorian, which has been given the go-ahead to proceed with season three. Therefore, we may simply have to wait and watch how this narrative develops…

We still have a slew of additional spin-offs and expansions to the Star Wars universe to keep us on our toes, such as Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and Rangers of the New Republic, to mention a few examples.

The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 Cast

We’d normally argue that a show like The Book of Boba Fett is reliant on its leading guy, but as episodes five and six demonstrated, Temuera Morrison, isn’t as important to the narrative as we originally thought she was. Having said that, it would be impolite to commission a second season without Boba Fett himself, so we can reasonably assume Morrison will be back in some shape or form.

Others who would likely join him include:

• Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand
• Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin / The Mandalorian (If he’s not busy with his own show)
• Matt Berry as the voice of 8D8
• Carey Jones as Krrsantan
• Danny Trejo as the trainer of Fett’s Rancor

The short but interesting post-credits scene that concluded season one has us believing that Timothy Olyphant will definitely return for a second season of the show. The Bacta Tank and Fennec Shand’s surgeon saved Cobb Vanth’s life when he was nearly killed by Cad Bane. He will almost certainly be present the next time we return to Tatooine, whenever that may be.

One person we don’t expect to see again is Corey Burton, who played Cad Bane in the first season. After being on the receiving end of Boba’s spear in the season one finale, it’s unlikely that the legendary bounty hunter will appear again and cause more trouble for our favorite characters in season two of The Legend of Zelda. Despite the fact that the light on his coat *was* still blinking…

The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 Plot

Boba has now solidified his position as the most powerful criminal leader on Tatooine, but will he be able to maintain his position after the dust has settled? Season one ended with a closing sequence that hinted at the possibility of him and Fennec relocating somewhere else. Robert and Fennec are greeted on the streets as saviors, with people showering them with affection and even throwing them a melon. When Boba says, “We are not suited for this,” Fennec responds, “Then who are we?”

That’s when Black KrrSantan appears, who is hanging out with Sophie Thatcher’s Drash, the head of the young street gang, whom we assume may now be in line to take over if Boba decides to go.

It’s an ambiguous conclusion, but that’s understandable considering the fact that the show’s future is also uncertain at this point. The mixed response from fans, as well as the lack of an obvious story for Boba going forward, makes us believe that he will return in some capacity in the future. He might even appear as a guest star on other shows, such as The Mandalorian, in the future.

If The Book of Boba Fett does make a comeback, it’s probable that future episodes may be devoted to Boba Fett settling an old score with Mace Windu, the Jedi Master who was responsible for the death of his father.
