Bloodborne is among the top unique launch titles to date, so it’s no joke that fans are eagerly anticipating a continuation. The worldwide followers of this gaming title have been eager to get any look or news of one of their favorite games, Bloodborne 2.

FromSoftware has been on a tear over the last period, and there’s no reason to emphasize how groundbreaking the Dark Souls project was. The bloodborne gameplay was intriguing and left a long-lasting impact that completely shook the gaming industry. The players were in awe of an amazing storyline that left their minds in amazement.

However, From Software has been stiff on a Bloodborne 2 launch date, preferring to concentrate on many other projects.

That hasn’t kept fans from drilling down and making assumptions, and we’d like to trawl through plenty of gossip and speculation to offer you the most up-to-date details.

Bloodborne 2 Legacy

Bloodborne gave us some awe strucking moments with their amazing graphics.

Bloodborne is one of the most revolutionizing games ever created. This is evident as we think how challenging these titles are for someone eager to take on the responsibility, as well as the numerous additional franchises they have inspired over time.

Although other developers were constantly trying to replicate the Dark Souls recipe and failing miserably, FromSoftware managed to do just that.

Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are two such games.

In comparison to previous Souls games, these video games place a stronger emphasis on offense and agility, making them much more exciting elevated encounters. Taking the player from one high to another, these games have something peculiar in their storylines and graphics that other modern games of their genres lack.

Upcoming Title

While most of us are looking forward to the arrival of FromSoftware’s next upcoming title, Elden Ring, in 2021, most of us are also curious to hear about a possible sequel to an old, much-loved title Bloodborne 2.

Rumored hint on Bloodborne 2

Many people believed the initial Sekiro trailer — as you can see down — hinted at a Bloodborne continuation for quite some time.

Regretfully for all you bloodthirsty players, the “Shadows Die Twice” trailer was confirmed to be relating to an altogether separate Souls-like title at E3 2018.

But still, there were many takeaways that hint it’s a continuation of something bigger that is going to leave the gaming industry on the verge of another breakthrough.

Teaser Takeaways

It’s easy to see why followers were convinced that this trailer was connected to Bloodborne:

  • The general look and feel of the preview were close to that of the first Bloodborne trailer.
  • Loss, life, and resurrection are key themes in Bloodborne’s plot.
  • Inside the “Soulsborne” macro verse, oriental civilizations also flourished.
  • In contrast to each of these hints, there was the mysterious device, which looked suspiciously like a modern type of trick tool.

Nevertheless, with the release of Sekiro, it was discovered that this was the character’s bionic arm, although that resulted in being something of a trick tool in one’s own way.

Sony hesitancy on Bloodborne 2

Miyazaki has also confirmed that it is not his judgment whether or not a continuation will be created, implying that the future of this project is in the hands of its maker, Sony.

But Bloodborne 2 release in the forthcoming time is highly debatable. But as presently constituted, it doesn’t appear possible.

Amid the false narratives that have been circulating, development executives have repeatedly dismissed its presence. And if it’s in the development, it’d be ages away at most.

Effects of Console wars on Bloodborne 2

With the release of both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, the next gaming age has finally begun.

Furthermore, seeing how Microsoft is raising up its efforts this century, it would be in Sony’s greatest advantage to do the same if they would like to retain the “Console War.” Having won the last console wars, Sony would not want to lose the upcoming one.

Having said all that, we are hopeful that yet another Bloodborne title will be released within this console cycle.

And, given Miyazaki’s reported desire to make a new Bloodborne title, a new incarnation of the story may very well be released after Elden Ring – whenever that may be.

Bloodborne 2 Release date

At the moment, FromSoftware is concentrating on the Elden Ring.

Despite the fact that this latest game appears to be gaining steam to be the “most exciting FromSoftware project ever,” no launch date has been announced.

Bloodborne 2 seems much farther apart than the first title.

Although there has been no public announcement of a release, there is also a very high possibility that we’ll see a Bloodborne title at some point in the future.

Why can Bloodborne 2 happen?

  • Firstly, despite the fact that no successor has been announced, Bloodborne has a lot of support from both designers and enthusiasts. This might lead to a different Bloodborne title or, or at minimum, a possible remaster of the first, which has been rumored, but we’ll have to listen and see.
  • Demon’s Souls, FromSoftware’s first, original “Souls” title, has already been recreated for the Ps5.

Well, that still doesn’t actually imply anything whatsoever about Bloodborne, but it does indicate that Sony isn’t dismissing this long-forgotten PlayStation 3 edition.

  • Major titles have always been among the PlayStation’s best attributes and canceling one of their most well-received unique IPs wouldn’t be a really profitable decision on Sony’s side.

Conclusion

At the conclusion of the moment, none of this is certain, and we have no way of knowing whether or not a Bloodborne 2 would ever be released.

We have confidence in this long-awaited continuation because of the success of the IP, the huge market for a sequel between fans, and the director’s commitment to focus on it.

However, as previously said, Sony is eventually in control of the choice.

It would be fascinating to see if FromSoftware continues to extend the Bloodborne recipe more if Elden Ring actually raised the standard as tall as the buzz suggests.
