Introduction (Black Widow)
It’s raining women power everywhere! From politics to art to sports to entertainment to education women are taking the charge. They are shining and living their dreams.
And this Women’s Day we are celebrating the different choices they have, different opinions they perceive, different ethnicity they belong and different dreams they pursue. I mean there shouldn’t be a specific day to honor the cusp of achievement women are into.
But today we take this opportunity to support and celebrate women empowerment through the window of films. And to represent this special avenue we have with us “Black Widow” starring Scarlett Johansson and directed by another women power Cate Shortland.
MCU after it’s superb Avengers Saga success has recently announced the phase four roster date following heightened expectations. The Indian release dates of phase four are out now kick starting with “Black Widow” and “The Eternals” helmed by another female director.
Black Widow Plotline
Starring Scarlett Johansson as the lead, this film takes us back in time(I am not talking about 100 years or so), it’s 15 years after the fall of the USSR. So do the math, it’s 2006. There’s some exciting family reunion to happen where she meets her sister and her parents years after she was recruited in KGB to become a world class assassin.
Since her debut in Iron man 2 in 2010, she has been kicking quite some ass along with the Avengers without any superpowers. So, she definitely deserves a solo movie. This movie happens immediately after Captain America: Civil War so events do weigh in.
She is a Russian operative in a sense, and so they have some history together themselves,” David Harbour said. “But there is a dynamic that evolves where she’s gone beyond in terms of joining the Avengers and his reactions to that.
Their is also the Budapest plotline working which can be traced back from the first Avengers movie and has since been used as a point of reference.
Release Date (Black Widow)
The film is all set to hit the roads on 24th April, 2020. It’s also exciting to see the first glimpse of phase four of the MCU with Black Widow inaugurating it.
All we can say is, “You go girl!”
