Billie Eilish is releasing an album called Hit Me Hard and Soft, so you would assume she would prefer basketball over contact sports. Nevertheless, on Tuesday, May 14, the pop sensation enjoyed a game of hoops at Madison Square Garden, sitting courtside with a number of other celebrities, during one of the final days before the release of her third studio album.
The pop sensation was seated next to Jennifer Hudson in the first row during Game Five of the Eastern Conference Second Round Playoffs, when the New York Knicks were playing the Indiana Pacers. She was sporting a plaid shirt, shorts, and cap. Rapper Common, who is said to be the partner of the “Spotlight” singer, was seated on Hudson’s other side.
Stars including Chris Rock, Nicholas Braun, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Billy Crystal were also there. The Knicks defeated the Pacers 121-91 to win the game and take a 3-2 series lead.
The concert takes place just two days before Finneas, Eilish’s brother and frequent collaborator, releases his 10-track album Hit Me Hard and Soft. The “What Was I Made For?” singer will host an album listening party at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Wednesday, May 15, when she is in New York. The following day, she will repeat the event in Los Angeles.

In the United States, AMC Theatres using Dolby Atmos will provide a listening experience for Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, for individuals who were unable to obtain complimentary tickets for either event. Tickets are $5 and the shows will run for two days only, beginning on May 16.
With the exception of a few brief glimpses, such as a portion of the song “Birds of a Feather” in a recently released teaser for Netflix’s Heartstopper, the nine-time Grammy winner has mainly kept information about her new project under wraps until Friday, May 17. From the beginning, she informed her fans that no singles would be released ahead of schedule, saying in her album announcement that “I wanna give it to you all at once.”

“This album feels like me,” she stated in an April Rolling Stone interview. It’s not a persona. It’s like me in the movie When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? It reminds me of my childhood and my former self.
