Neil Gaiman has shared his views regarding the series and said that Late Terry Pratchett and he have always agreed to be in the series and develop all the parts “Together”. Gaiman has also stated, “I people love this enough, and if the time and the will are there, we could go back and do a lot more”.
Good Omens Season 2 Release Date: When is it going to Release?
As of August 2022, there is no official release date for Good Omens Season 2. It’s been 3 years since the first season was released and there have been no updates regarding the confirmed release date for the show.

The filming of the show is already wrapped up in March 2022 and Michael Sheen confirmed this news by posting on Twitter. Mackinnon told how they decided the location for the shooting and said, “We had to prove we could take them both to Scotland. There were bemused stares down the Zoom call from Los Angeles. They went away afterward trying to work out where Scotland was,”
He further added, “We have the cream of the crop of local talent. ‘Local’ makes it sound slightly embarrassed. I’m glad that finally, we’re bringing these shows here with Neil – it feels like everyone’s ready to make them, there’s no shyness.”
Gaiman’s thoughts on this are quite similar. He said in an interview with CBR, “I am so happy to be back here on the streets of Soho, watching, every day, the glorious performances of Michael Sheen and David Tennant. “I miss having Terry Pratchett’s genius, but it does feel like we are still all walking around inside his head.
He further noted, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to have the brilliant John Finnemore co-write this season’s story shenanigans with me, and to work with the director and my co-showrunner Douglas Mackinnon as he steers the ship, along with our astonishing crew, who have returned to do it again.”
“Having a company of players reuniting for this second season of Good Omens is like bringing a family back together, this time in Scotland,” Mackinnon said. “Not only the cast but also many of our Good Omens season one crew have reassembled. Our team is being enriched with new talent on both sides of the camera so I am excited to be at the helm for six more episodes of what we hope will be heavenly entertainment.”

Good Omens Season 2 Plot: What Can we expect with it?
The first season of Good Omens ended on a cliffhanger and we know that the second season is going to bring back the iconic story.
In an official statement, Gaiman said, “It’s 31 years since Good Omens was published, which means it’s 32 years since Terry Pratchett and I lay in our respective beds in a Seattle hotel room at a World Fantasy Convention and plotted the sequel,”
He noted, “I got to use bits of the sequel in Good Omens – that’s where our angels came from. Terry’s not here any longer, but when he was, we had talked about what we wanted to do with Good Omens, and where the story went next.”
Furthermore, He also said, “There are so many questions people have asked about what happened next (and also, what happened before) to our favorite Angel and Demon. Here are the answers you’ve been hoping for. We are back in Soho, and all through time and space, solving a mystery, which starts with an angel wandering through Soho, with no memory.”
“It’s probably less good for the universe as it almost certainly means there will be some fresh existential threat to its existence to deal with, but, you know – swings and roundabouts.”
