Avengers Endgame Directors And Writers Reveal Secrets

The Russo Brothers’ tenure with the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been an enormously rewarding one; what with them shepherding the Avengers duology after Joss Whedon’s departure. Their frequent screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have written the quartology of films they worked. So it’s no surprise that the creative crew has a lot of familiarity with MCU secrets that hadn’t been published until now.

Following the massive record-breaking success of Avengers: Endgame, the MCU Collector Edition revealed a plethora of deleted scenes that had never been seen up to this point. Though as is the case with movies this huge, there are more secrets to uncover.

Although there was much behind-the-scenes footage and snaps revealing never before seen looks; at the sets and costumes were among the most liked-tweets from the Watch Party hosted by the directors.

Boy, This Is A Doozy!

It led to a buzzing Worldwide Twitter trend, all thanks to the Russo Brothers’ #AvengersAssemble tag, which generated over 76,000 tweets during movie night, and #QuarantineWatchParty which in turn ended up generating more than 45,000 tweets through the two-night event.

But perhaps, the biggest secret that was uncovered during the Watch Party; was Thanos’ raid on Xandar to collect the Power Stone.

As it were, Markus and McFeely’s Infinity War draft had the Mad Titan; Thanos himself attacking the planet of Xandar and retrieving the Orb from the Nova Corps’ security vaults.

Nova, whose alter ego is named Richard Rider, was supposed to be making a last-minute run in an attempt to avoid the catastrophe and eventually crash on Terra. In the final cut of the movie, Bruce Banner was given this role of warning the Avengers that Thanos was coming.

It’s worth noting that it’s been a while since we’ve seen the Nova Corps in the MCU. In fact, they’ve never been seen since 2014.

In any case, I can’t wait to see Richard Rider’s first MCU appearance.
