The eighth season has 10 episodes. Also, it was the final season of Arrows. The series follows the story of a billionaire playboy, Oliver Queen. He claimed to have spent five years shipwrecked on Lian Yu before returning to Star City.

Lian Yu is a mysterious island in the North China Sea. Furthermore, Oliver is joined by others to fight crime and corruption in Star City. Oliver is a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow.

 Deathstroke Absence Until Season 5

Deathstroke did not appear until season 5 due to the restrictions placed by DC on the character. Furthermore, DC had plans for their character for Slade Wilson. Therefore, DC stopped the CW from using the character.


Moreover, DC did not want to see Deathstroke appear again in the series. But Guggenheim was able to convince DC to allow Deathstroke's part in Arrow's Season 5. Also, considering how much fans loved Deathstroke's performance in the series, they sure wanted him to comeback.
