Keep your cool, Ariana Grande fans—it appears that she may be working on new music.
The 30-year-old diva, who had put her singing career on hold for a few years to concentrate on the live-action Wicked movies, posted a number of pictures and silent videos to Instagram showing her hard at work in a professional recording studio. Grande, who is renowned for producing her own vocals, can be seen altering audio files that are displayed on the screen while seated at a computer in several of them. The singer of “Thank U, Next” posted a picture on Thursday, December 7, but she didn’t include a statement or any information about her plans. Victoria Monet, a close friend and frequent collaborator, did, however, remark, “She’s HOME!!!🤎🤎🤎🥂.”
“No one is ready,” as said by Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba in the Wicked films alongside Grande’s Glinda. “I’m incredibly proud of you!” the actress and singer continued. “This project is really amazing!”

The former member of Victorious hasn’t had a formal release since her album Positions in 2020. Over the past several years, she has been on songs including The Weeknd’s “Die for You” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Santa, Can You Hear Me.” In August, she also released a 10-year anniversary version of her debut album, Yours Truly. Grande has teased her listeners a few times this year about the possibility of a new album, which has gotten fans more and more excited. She jokingly said, “I know you’re very annoyed with me and my little makeup, but it’s coming,” in an August Q&A, alluding to the loud fans who want the star to put music before R.E.M. “Hmm, there’s more. You got it!
She joked, “ag7: goat mother,” when she posted photos of herself on a farm in October on Instagram.
