Archie Renaux has found love!

The Alien: Romulus actor reveals that he will marry Annie O’Hara, his longtime lover.

At the Los Angeles premiere of the most recent manifestation of Alien on Monday, August 12, Renaux, 26, exclusively tells that he proposed a year ago.

Before getting married, Renaux acknowledges that he and O’Hara “kind of need to get our ducks in a row.” “We’ve got a few things to plan and get ready for in this next year.”

Iris, his 3-year-old daughter with O’Hara, will play a particular role on their wedding day, he also tells “She goes to school next September … so she’ll certainly have a job I’m sure,” he continues.

The now-engaged pair has never disclosed when they first started dating, preferring to keep their romance quiet. But O’Hara has accompanied Renaux to a number of premieres, including the one for his film Catherine Called Birdy. In 2022, he posted pictures from that occasion to his Instagram.

Renaux’s most well-known roles are as Camila Mendes’ romantic interest in Upgraded and as Malyen “Mal” Oretsev in the fantasy series Shadow and Bone on Netflix.

The pair had their first child together in 2020. Renaux has maintained a low profile on their relationship and kept his daughter out of the spotlight, sharing only a few special images of her on Instagram last July, among other things.

He posted a mirror photo of himself that showed off his features and the top of Iris’s head in one of the rare glimpses we got of her. “Growing too fast 🥲,” his caption said.

Renowned actors from Alien: Romulus, directed by Fedé Alvarez, co-wrote with Rodo Sayagues, and starred Aileen Wu, Spike Fearn, David Jonsson, Isabela Merced, and Cailee Spaeny as costars.

At the premiere, Renaux tells that it’s “amazing” to be a part of the Alien legacy. “These films mean so much to a generation of people. My dad’s a big fan of Alien, and so growing up, I remember watching it with him when I was a little kid, obviously fully unaware that I’d one day get to be a part of this legacy.”
