Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 2 Plot: What to Expect with it?
The show’s official synopsis reads, “Nic is lonely, bored in her depressing marriage, and haunted by a huge secret. And now the family cat’s gone missing. Nic’s tired of the small talk with her cleaner Viv and the bad sex she has with her husband Dan, and she’s got no friends in the small village they live in.
Only her son, Ollie, who she adores, keeps her going, but she’s not looking forward to his school fete until new mum in town Jen joins her on the Splat a Rat stall. The morning after their boozy night, Nic’s paranoid about what she said to Jen, and putting a brave face on things for Ollie’s birthday party isn’t helping calm her nerves.
Things improve slightly when Jen’s dealer delivers a pick-me-up. Suzie comes round that evening to drop off Ollie’s birthday present and discuss Alex’s imminent anniversary with Dan.
Nic dreams about Alex and her coat and wakes to the realization her coat is missing and she goes on a mission searching the house to find it. Whilst searching she makes a shocking discovery in Ollie’s bedroom. There’s little time before school to talk to Ollie properly, and on the walk to school, things get weird when Nick sees someone ahead wearing her missing coat. It’s time to reveal the truth about this new mum in town and see what’s been going on.
The Cadbury Hedgehog hunt is in full swing, but Jen’s still missing, Nic is having more haunting visions and Dan is nervous about Alex’s memorial. Lucy’s desperate to know if Nic’s watched any of her stand-up routines, but Nic only wants to solve the mystery of Jen and shares what she’s learned with Lucy when Jen suddenly appears. Nic’s worried she’s a bad mum and at Alex’s memorial, the pressure mounts and truths will out.”
