Everyone has a soft spot for a pet they love, but this animal lover has a special place in her heart for rescue pets. In A Tail of Love, the last show in Hallmark Channel’s “Spring into Love” lineup, a dog rescue’s future is in danger when they are about to lose their main source of money.

When Bella (Brittany Bristow) isn’t running the dog rescue with her grandmother Lily (Jayne Eastwood), her grandfather started it. Bella and Lily work together to help dogs.
The rescue’s future is in doubt when they learn that their main source of funding, a dog food company, is being sold after its owner died. He is Chris McNally, the late owner’s son. He is a soldier who is home on leave so that he can help with the sale.
The next time JR goes to the rescue, he quickly falls in love with Indie (Moxie), a retired military dog.
He keeps coming back to spend time with his new four-legged friend. As soon as Bella finds out that the rescue’s land is also for sale, she asks JR for help finding the document that proves her grandparents bought the land many years ago. They become close and start to fall in love with each other during the process. JR’s return to active duty could put a stop to that.

Bristow has played supporting roles on Love, Romance, and Chocolate, Christmas at the Palace, and Royal Matchmaker in the past. She starred in Holiday Date, Loving Christmas, and Love in Whitbrooke as the lead in each of these movies.
Chris McNally (JR)
McNally plays Lucas Bouchard on When Calls the Heart, which is a popular show on the Hallmark Channel. He will appear in the next season of Firefly Lane and the next Paramount+ show, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.
