Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have the ability to make a space sparkle when they enter it.
At Sunday’s 2024 Golden Globes, where Swift’s Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie received a nomination for cinematic and box office achievement and Gomez received a nod for best performance by a female actor in a television musical or comedy for her role in the Hulu series, the 34-year-old singer of “Lover” and the 31-year-old star of Only Murders in the Building shared an embrace. The images were shared by the Golden Globes on X, the former name of Twitter, along with the message, “Girls night at the #GoldenGlobes.”

Gomez looked stunning in a bright red Giorgio Armani dress with black elements and an asymmetrical hemline at Sunday’s awards ceremony. The dress also had a black lining that protruded from beneath, as well as cutouts in the front with black rosettes and a black waistline. The creator of Rare Beauty accessorized the gown with black nail varnish and shiny red Christian Louboutin heels.

Swift, meanwhile, opted for a metallic green, floor-length Gucci gown and pointed Christian Louboutin heels.
Gomez celebrated Swift’s 34th birthday last month by sharing an Instagram Story picture of the pop singer kissing her on the cheek. “Happy Birthday to the goddess that is @TaylorSwift,” Gomez tweeted. In her Instagram Story, she also included a graphic that said, “I love you.”
“Thats my best friend—she a real bad,” Gomez wrote in the caption of a series of Instagram photographs with Swift in September, referencing a line from Saweetie’s song “Best Friend.”

The former Disney Channel star claimed to be Swift’s lone friend in the business when speaking with Rolling Stone in November 2022.
Gomez remarked, “I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities.” “I remember feeling like I didn’t belong in the industry because Taylor [Swift] is really my only friend.”
Last month, the two closest friends went on an outing with Cara Delevingne, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Zoë Kravitz in New York City.
