A Discovery of Witches Season 2: Air Date, Cast, Plot, Trailer And More Updates
A Discovery Of Witches: The Backdrop
Discovery of Witches, a fantasy series telecast on SonyLiv is actually an adaptation from a book written by Deborah Harkness, name ‘All Souls’.
Produce by Sky Productions, it was first premiere on the 14th of September, 2018.
The first season was surprisingly very well received, grossing a crazy fanbase all over.
Having read the book, I shall tell you the series differs in some parts.
But then, some of it I saw coming because of course it is an adaptation and they’ve just got to make it extravagant.
What Is It About
The story follows the life of an exceedingly charming vampire who falls in love with this beautiful witch.
But just like any ancient narrative, they’re just not mean to be together.
However, what follows in their lives is a pretty interesting watch.
Teresa Palmer aka Dr Diana Bishop, the now mother of 1, was pregnant last year so she couldn’t hop in but the rest of the crew were starting off.
Teresa talk all butter about her character, Doctor Diana, and she undeniably loves what a kind and intelligible ambivert she is.
She doesn’t necessarily shy away from being unguarded and that is what makes her so likeable!
Matthew Goode aka Matthew Clairmont, on the other hand, went ahead to talk about Diana and Matthew’s relationship in the book.
He said he absolutely dotes the love story, and although some people might term a vampire love story to be nothing like a real relationship, he defended it.
Matthew went on to say it still is a connection between 2 people and that he is having the time of his life, experiencing all this.
When Is Season 2 Happening?
There hasn’t been any confirmation about the release of the second season as of now, but we’re hoping we’d get to see more of them by the end of this year(if humankind doesn’t end, that is).
Having waited almost for 2 years now, fans are going into a state of hysteria!
Also, since the series is part of a trilogy, it of course will be a reflection of the second book.
The second book talks of Diana and Matthew set into the London of Elizabethan times.
It’d reflect a world of cynicism, a world of mystery, finding Ashmole 782 and pinpointing a witch that can teach Diana.
With Coronavirus still doing its round, It’d be foolish to think we’d get a season renewal just yet but that doesn’t mean we aren’t excited!
