Attack On Titan is a globally popular post-apocalyptic anime series. The first three seasons take the fans on a thrilling journey of their favorite characters trying to survive in the show.

The anime show is coming back for a fourth and final season. Earlier slated to release in fall 2020 has now been postponed. Here is everything you need to know about it.

Attack On Titan: The Franchise

Attack On Titan is an anime series and adaptation of a Japanese manga series of the same name. The first season came in 2013 and got a lot of appraisal from the fans. The show has a popular fanbase and the second season only makes the fanbase bigger. The third season also received a lot of love.

The series follows the journey of a group of characters. It starts from the fall of Maria wall all the way to the discovery of a new nation of Marley. Season 3 is also filled with various themes. These themes include political and civil unrest in the kingdoms and how the characters develop over time.

WIT Studio is responsible for producing all the seasons of the show and this one too. Unfortunately, the fourth season of Attack On Titan will also be it’s last.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Potential Release Date

Before this Coronavirus thing happened, Attack On Titan Season 4 was scheduled to release in Fall 2020. However, now, almost every production house is halted, shooting has stopped. So, you can’t expect season 4 in 2020. If the latest rumors are to be believed, Netflix may air Attack on Titan season 4 sometime next year.

In the meanwhile, its previous seasons are available to stream on Hulu & as for the new episodes, they are added as soon as they are aired in Japan. So, instead of this year, 2021 is the year when you can bid farewell to one of the finest anime ever-made in the history of anime.

Attack On Titan Season 4 Plot

Since Marley is in the picture now, we can expect a lot of new people and things to happen.  Also, because it is the last season, we may see an epic clash between Marley and Eldians. We can expect closure for various plot holes and threads. Also, we may see the show addressing the Darker Worlds in the new season too.

Therefore, the fourth and last season of Attack On Titan is going to give us badass content but also an insight into how the characters will leave ultimately. Major plot details are still under wraps though.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Perfect Fan Theories

Although, Anime on Titan Season 4 is on its way next year. No one can stop the die-hard fans from making a speculation. This time too they’ve come up with 3 almost perfect fan theories. Let’s check them out once –

Fan Theory #1: Attack on Titan – An Analogy for Ragnarok

Throughout the Attack on Titan anime, you can see several references to the Norse Mythology. In fact, Ymir’s name is used as a reference to the father of all Frost Giants. If analyzed properly Ymir’s character & Attack on Titan’s story can easily draw numerous parallels.

I definitely believe these references makes this fan theory seem legit.

Fan Theory #2: Mikasa Will Survive

In this anime, the lifespan of a Titan-Human hybrid is around 13 years. Now that both Armin & Eren have this power, you can easily assume the fate of the main characters in the anime.

By the end, Mikasa will be the sole survivor and Eren & Armin will eventually rest in peace. The possibility of their survival is pretty slim unless they’ve some miraculous solution. If you ask me I believe, Mikasa will be the sole survivor & she’ll be the only one who’ll bring their legacies to light.

Fan Theory #3: Eren Will End The Cycle of Humans Becoming Titans

In this anime, Eren’s character is built as a paragon of justice. So, I believe by the end of the season finale, Eren will do everything in his power to make sure to put an end to the cycle of Titans that’s being built up as war machines.

The theory further suggests a meeting between Ymir & Eren in the Coordinate. Thus, ending the vicious cycle of humans becoming war machines.

Final Words

That’s all for now. These are 3 perfect fan theories I believe can come true. I hope by the end of 2020, we will soon have a confirmed release date of Attack On Titan Season 4. What do you of these 3 fan theories I’ve mentioned in this post? Do share your input with me in the comments section given below.
