CD Projekt Red is basically torturing all of us fans with little tidbits of Cyberpunk 2077 info. They’ve now elaborated on the presence of another huge gang that’s part of the classic Cyberpunk lore. As if Night City wasn’t already crowded enough, another gang joins the mix.

Cyberpunk 2077 Reveals The Valentinos

The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account revealed more details about the Valentinos.  The tweet reads as follows:

“One of Night City’s largest gangs, the Valentinos are bound by a strong moral code and century-old traditions. Controlling swathes of predominantly Latino areas of Heywood, they treat values such as honor, justice, and brotherhood with deadly seriousness.”

Fans of the original Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop RPG will be glad that they are going to be in the game’s version of Night City. The game has rich lore, and the Valentinos are a part of the reason why.

The Valentinos Will Vie For Power In Night City

Many of Cyberpunk 2077’s gangs are divided up based on the ethnicities of its members. For example, the Tyger Claws are mostly Japanese, and the Voodoo Boys are Haitians. Along similar lines, the Valentinos are mostly Latinos. However, it’s worthy of note that being Latino is not a pre-requisite for joining the Valentinos.

The gangs of Cyberpunk 2077 also control different parts of Night City. In the Valentinos’ case, their territory is Heywood.

This isn’t quite the gameplay demonstration that we were all hoping for, but we’re not complaining. Any bit of new news about this game is enough to get us hyped.

Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Coming In June

Cyberpunk

That’s not to say CD Projekt Red isn’t planning anything, though. They’ve already confirmed that they’re going to reveal a bunch of information in June. This reveal is going to happen at IGN’s Summer Of Gaming event. We don’t when exactly this event will take place, but we do know that it will kick-off in early June.

IGN announced this event to replace the cancelled E3 2020 event. CD Projekt Red likely would’ve had a presence there, but no worries. They can still show off some cool stuff at IGN’s new event.

Seems like the production on Cyberpunk 2077 is going fairly smoothly. Barring any further hiccups, the game should meet its current release date.

Cyberpunk 2077 is coming on September 17, 2020. It will be available to play on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
