After landing a heavy blow on The Doctor’s ship, she makes her way aboard to find the “Sixth Doctor” lying face down. After turning his prone body over, The Doctor’s face quickly assumes the image of Sylvester McCoy. But what happens behind the scenes? In the 1980s, the regeneration creation is so bad. Which ultimately leads to worse situations. Due to the Sixth Doctor’s demise is unclear. Even fans felt wired about Baker’s Doctor fell over and hit his head when the Rani attacked his ship.

But The BBC vexed in the mid-1980s and the science fiction series was only paid for season 24 on the proviso that Baker was replaced. The Sixth Doctor actor was not okay with this decision. So he wanted another full season to complete his character’s story, regenerating in the finale.

The BBC were only willing to give Baker a single story to wrap things up. But the actor wasn’t happy with the offer and refused. So, the seventh doctor itself needs to play both Doctors. For this, he needs essential visual effects left to smooth over the rough edges.

Interestingly, in recent years Colin Baker regrets over the decision, saying that while he was none too pleased with the BBC, he should’ve filmed a proper regeneration for the sake of the fans and Doctor Who itself.
