Coronavirus or COVID-19 is a disease originated from animals and spread through humans. The condition started spreading from a market in Wuhan, China. Since it’s a highly contagious disease, it has spread all over the globe.

Coronavirus Precautions

There are so many simple things you can do to keep the virus away from you. A recent form released by UNICEF says that the virus is giant and the cell diameter is around 400-500 micro, hence wearing a mask while going to a crowded place will prevent the entry of the virus.

You can develop a habit of washing your hands while coming back from anywhere, take a bath every day, and an alcoholic hand sanitizer could also kill the bacteria.

New York Declares Emergency Amidst Coronavirus Outbreak

An emergency was declared due to a rise in patients to 89 in New York. In Albany New York, Gov. Andrew M Cuomo announced the state of emergency after a significant increase in the number of reported coronavirpus cases. Along with the number of patients that rose, one of them is the Queen’s driver who worked for Uber.

As of now, eighty-nine individuals have tested positive for the disease, according to the governor’s office. And there seems no way that the rise is going to stop. The highly contagious disease is threatening the whole world.

From the reported cases, eleven of them are in New York City and the rest 70 from Westchester County. The reports are only coming in, and it almost seems like there’s no end. There are signs of an ongoing spread, including a pair of cases in both Saratoga County and Rockland County. Also, four in Nassau County, according to the governor.

How Can Emergency Help?

The governor says the declaration of emergency can help people cope up with the disease and fasten the supplies to treat the diseased ones. It’ll allow New York government to respond faster by lifting regulations.

An emergency declaration will also help in bringing new supplies and hiring more workers quickly and efficiently to improve the health departments monitoring patients under self-quarantine, Cuomo said during a press conference at the state Capitol.

The coronavirus has at least affected over 102,000 individuals and killed almost 3,491 according to the latest reports. This is a problematic situation that everyone needs to take care off. Anyone affected or having any symptoms must report to the doctor immediately to stop the full spread.
