WandaVision is an upcoming web television miniseries created for Disney+ based on the Marvel comic characters Wanda Maxim-off or Scarlett Witch and Vision.
After years spent playing supporting characters in films, Vision and Wanda finally get the spotlight in WandaVision. The series is said to have only six or eight episodes. The series will be set after the events of Avengers: Endgame and is expected to have significant repercussion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.
Wanda Maxim-off And Vision
Wanda Maximoff or Scarlett witch debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron as a villain. She becomes one of the most potent Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, proving herself crucial in finishing off Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.
In Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Vision is created after Tony Stark and Bruce Banner upload the A.I. J.A.R.V.I.S. into a plastic body, which was created by Ultron as a body upgrade for himself powered by the Mind Stone.
When Will WandaVision Hit The Theaters?
Disney C.E.O. Bob Iger said WandaVision is most likely to release in December 2020. WandaVision could go very right or very wrong according to the direction taken for Wanda’s powers. So far, it seems like Marvel is exploring this mind-bending madness by having her in various eras with Vision.

The promo spot shows with her several costumes. It could be hinting at things from a picket fence life to something more thanks to her comics-accurate dress. At this point, it seems like everything is either happening in her mind or alternate dimensions. The latter of which shouldn’t come as a surprise as this series will inform the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Many believe she might also be fracturing or creating her realities.

How To Portray WandaVision?
Marvel Studios will have to walk a fine line with how they portray Scarlet Witch. They have to breakdown her potential in Disney+’s WandaVision.
While fans await the series, it’s worth noting Marvel Studios/Disney has to be very sensitive with how they’ll portray the character. There’s a fine line to walk in representing a mentally unstable woman that doesn’t tie back to unwarranted stigmas and stereotypes.
