Calling his winning speech hilarious would be an understatement as he knew there are some things we may never get over. He revealed his nickname for Leonardo Dicaprio. Calling his partner in crime “LDC” and that he gets why Leo was in everyone’s winning speech.
Brad also called Leonardo an all-star, further adding, “I wouldn’t be here without you, man, I thank you.” He concludes thanking Leonardo by saying, “still, I would have shared the raft,” and titanic reference takes us all the way back to 1997.
For more than two decades, the debate has gone on and on as to whether Kate Winslet’s character Rose could have saved Leonardo’s character Jack’s life by making room for him on the raft he insisted she climbs upon. Brad Pitt told us what he believed in!
This obviously led to a blast of tweets by fans all over the world. One fan tweeted, “Brad Pitt telling Leo he would’ve shared the raft is a level of bromance that I get.”
The actor also thanked his forks and joked as to why his mom wasn’t with him at the show. He said, “I wanted to bring my mom, but I couldn’t because anyone I stand next to, they say I’m dating.” He further added, “And that would just be awkward.”
Jennifer Aniston, Brad’s ex-wife, got in a laugh on that one and listened to his speech with admiration.
They were married from 2000 to 2005. More than often, there are reports that they could get back together post his divorce with Angelina Jolie in 2019.
